5 Must Try Brunch Spots in Chicago

Chicago is knows for it’s amazing food. From deep dish to signature cocktails, this city excellently executes all different kinds of dishes and cuisines. Here are 5 must try brunch spots in Chicago.

Pilsen Yards

The first time Jason and I tried Pilsen Yards, we ended up going back just a few weeks later - it’s so good! Come here for great Mexican food and a funky, casual vibe.

Pro Tip: Order the breakfast burrito and some fresh orange juice (I typically hate OJ, but I can’t resist it here!).

Roux

Roux is one of my all time favorite brunch spots, and a go-to for out of town guests. Nestled in the Hyde Park neighborhood, this charming place is a mix of New Orleans and French cuisine.

Pro Tip: Try the Fried Green Tomato Tartine or the Brisket Hash, and DON’T forget to order some beignets!

Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club

I recently came to Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club with my husband and friends and was BLOWN AWAY by how amazing it was! The aesthetic is eclectic farmhouse, which you don’t see much of in big cities. It was kind of nostalgic being from a small town. They have a large menu but they do it all phenomenally!

Pro Tip: I ordered off their seasonal menu and got the Mango Blueberry French Toast - it satisfied my sweet tooth without being too sweet!

The Allis

The Allis is probably the most aesthetic restaurants in all of Chicago. Another one located in the trendy West Loop, this spot is one of a kind. With velvet couches, large art, and chandeliers, you can’t help but feel both relaxed and elevated in this environment. I’ve come here so many times over the years in the morning, afternoon, and night, and their menu does not disappoint!

Pro Tip: Order a mocha and basically anything from the menu - you can’t go wrong!

Cira

If you’re looking for chic vibes and a choice between sweet and savory, Cira is the place to go. Located in the chic West Loop, this spot has elevated vibes. Their small menu means that they do everything really well.

Pro Tip: Try the Challah French Toast or the Shakshuka.
