A Surprise Gift: Vanna Timepiece
A few years ago, my husband, Jason, decided to surprise me with the best gift: a Vanna timepiece! And yes - it’s a watch. But “timepiece” sounds so classy so that’s what I’m going to call it for the next 3 minutes of reading.
As I was doing the dishes, Jason walked up to me and showed me a picture of the Vanna X Alanna Hadid timepiece. He said “it says ‘delivered’ but I can’t find it anywhere.’” As you can imagine, my jaw unhinges from my face and drops to the floor. Like… what?!
A few months prior, Vanna had announced their collaboration with Alana Hadid. They showed the picture of the watch and I had commented to Jason how beautiful it was. Jason is somewhat interested in fashion, so I like to show him things I really like or find interesting. (For my birthday, he bought me the Nebula Pearl timepiece.)
Naturally, I was surprised that he bought me another timepiece - especially since it wasn’t my birthday, nor was it close to a holiday.
I had asked him why he got it, and he said “just because.” It was so sweet of him, I almost died.
He came home early the next day to see if the package arrived, and sure enough, the package had finally been delivered. I was elated to go home and see it in person! Obviously it was so gorgeous that I needed to do a photoshoot with it (and the first photoshoot we had done in a while).
The Vanna x Alana Hadid timepiece face is half Mother of Pearl, and half Tiger’s Eye. It has an emerald crystal on the face as well. The limited collection had only 100 watches available, and the watch I received was marked “57” on the back.
It was really special and such a unique gift! As a previous owner of a Vanna timepiece, I highly recommend a Vanna timepiece as a gift, or putting it on your own wishlist for future holidays and birthdays!
