Heisler Park: The Hidden Gem of Orange County

Orange County is no stranger to tourists from all over the country - and even the globe. From gorgeous beaches to theme parks, this Southern California county obviously has a lot to offer. But there are some not so obvious gems that are totally worth seeing, one of them being Heisler Park in Laguna Beach.

Ok, so Laguna Beach itself is obviously not a hidden gem. The gorgeous beach town gained notoriety from the hit show The Hills in the 2000s. However, Heisler Park is not so well known. It’s a strip of walkway that hovers over the cliffs of Laguna Beach, looking out onto the teal waters of the Pacific Ocean. If you can’t afford Hawaii, Laguna Beach is a great backup option, particularly this trail.

A good thing to know is that Heisler Park is wheelchair accessible. The pathway is concrete and also has railings. There are benches and restrooms along the trail, so you can take your time.

Flowers and palm trees line the trail, so not only are there great views of the ocean, but California’s best botanicals are on display.

Some pathways even have stairs leading down to a small section of the beach. It’s pretty sparse, so it’s almost like your own private beach.

Enjoy these pictures that we’ve taken over the years. We love it here and try to come back every time we visit.
