Yosemite: A Photo Diary

A few years ago, Jason and I made one of our first of many annual trips to Southern California. His dad suggested we make the trek out to Yosemite, so we packed up the car, drove 6 hours, spent the night, and drove back the next day. It was a very quick trip, so I never wrote a blog on it. Not being there for much time, I can’t give any sort of advice or tips. However, we did get in some really beautiful photos, and enjoyed the scenery greatly. So here’s a little photo diary of Yosemite. Enjoy!

Ahwahnee Hotel

We stayed in Yosemite National Park overnight at the famed Ahwahnee Hotel. It was really fun, and we got a gorgeous view of the stars at night.

Yosemite

I’m not quite sure what part of Yosemite National Park this was, but we wandered around the “backyard” of the hotel. We were knee deep in snow in February, but we were at a higher elevation, which meant the sun felt pretty warm!

Bridalveil Falls

Bridalveil Falls was running strong as the sun was starting to melt all of the winter snow. We also “hiked” on some trails a bit and came to some other cool spots.

I am not a camper or hiker by any means, but I would definitely come back to Yosemite and see it again. It really is breathtaking! And it was worth the short trip.
