Stylish Maternity Clothes on a Budget

I found out that I was pregnant in May of 2023. It was shocking (I randomly decided to take a test for fun), exciting, terrifying, and exhilarating - all the emotions. I love fashion and I really didn’t want to compromise that. But I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes that I would wear for a short season of my life. Here’s what I did when it came to getting maternity clothes on a budget, and some maternity clothes inspiration.

While there are some really cute maternity clothes out there, one item can be $100+. To me, that’s not a smart investment since I can only wear this for a couple months (not only is pregnancy only 9 months, but clothes are also seasonal). I needed to start buying maternity clothes in the summer, so I decided to buy dresses in a size up, with flowy or stretchy material.

This route worked out perfectly for me! I could still wear heels and accessorize with cute bags. I also carried this into the fall and added blazers and long cardigans/dusters.
